We hit daylight saving time this weekend. Seattle was just starting to get nice and light in the mornings. We were both enjoying catching a few rays (and some of that precious vitamin D) as we walked into work. I guess we’ll have to wait another month or so for the morning light to return.
The station finally hired a morning executive producer, so Jake is finally back to working normal hours again. Jen is back at work after a 4 week (actually it turned out to be more like two full weeks) hiatus to study for the Washington Bar Exam. It was really tough trying to balance work and studying and really made me appreciate how easy I had it studying for the California Bar Exam, when I had nothing to do but focus on studying. I only wish that Jake and I had another 7 month trip planned following the WA Bar, like we did after California. We did manage a long weekend getaway to Whistler at least. The following weekend we drove down to Portland to take a look at yet another boat. We’ve been on the hunt for one since last spring after deciding that Seattle seems like the perfect place to have our first sailboat. Unlike the other boats we’d looked at, this one we found on craigslist.org, being sold by a private individual. The boat was in great condition and he even let us take it out for a sail. We ended up making an offer and at this point, it looks like we’re pretty close to getting it. We just need to get past the inspection and figure out how we’re going to get it up here. Our hopes are high!
