HANUKAH 2012
Baruch ata Adonai
We really stepped up our game on Hanukah this year. We lit candles and sang the prayers every night, even when Jake was out of town and we had to do it over FaceTime. For better or worse, we also committed to giving Willow a present every night. The first night really set the tone; we gave her a train. The night after when she received a shirt, she was so upset it wasn’t a train that she ran away from the table crying, went to her train tracks and put the shirt on the tracks and began moving it around the tracks like a train. We had to have a talk about being thankful. But, the following night, we gave her more train stuff. Hopefully, we haven’t created a Hanukah monster.
