Bibi & Babu Visit Over PassoverEaster Weekend
Jen’s parents arrived on Thursday, and we cooked our first Passover seder meal (brisket, mashed potatoes, carrots, cucumber salad and, of course haroset). Jake even found a children’s Haggadah for us to recite; we made it most of the way through before eating. The weekend forecast was looking beautiful. The next evening we headed out for the boat. Saturday morning, we woke up to pea soup fog but warm temperatures. We stopped at Spencer Spit on Lopez to let the fog clear and then headed on to Fisherman Bay (also on Lopez). We walked to town for dinner. Sunday morning, we got up and found the Easter bunny had paid us a visit. After an Easter egg hunt on the boat, we headed to the Islander for Easter brunch and an Easter egg hunt on the lawn in front of the marina. Willow found so many eggs that Jake made her put a few back, a decision he regretted once we realized they were stuffed with money.
