Cannon Beach, OR

The weekend of January 7th and 8th, we headed south to Cannon Beach, OR, leaving Friday evening.  Because of the season, we got a great deal on a little hotel right on the beach.  We had a beautiful walk on the beach Saturday morning that started with Jake losing his phone.  Luckily a good samaritan picked it up and we were able to meet her later to pick it up.  Due to a booking snafu, our wonderful room on the beach wasn’t available Saturday night, so the owner put us up in a gorgeous house in the hills with sweeping views.  On the way back, we hit the aquarium in Seaside.  Sadly upon our return, we discovered our house had been burgled.  Jen had made the unfortunate decision to leave her wedding/engagement ring at home that weekend along with her Willow ring.  Also taken, Grandma Betty’s engagement ring and anniversary band.  Sigh.
