Spencer Spit
We’ve been to Spencer Spit a lot this season and it’s still early. It’s such a beautiful spot, we find it hard to stay away. This weekend, Gabby learned how to swim. It started when Jake threw her ball just a little too far out into the water. She stood on the shore and barked and whined at it but wouldn’t go in any deeper than her legs. Jake had to go out in the dinghy to collect the ball. Then, he started throwing it closer and closer to the shore, just to the edge of where Gabby could wade. Finally, it went out just a little beyond her reach and she started paddling! Since then, she’s become a champion swimmer.
