Ok, I know I’m not exactly sporting what most people would consider a grin in this photo, but my smiles are fleeting and thus difficult to capture on camera. And, really, aren’t my parents smiling big enough for all three of us? At any rate, I started smiling (at more than just my own gas) around 4 weeks. Although my grandpa E’s jokes don’t get me smiling just yet, I do occasionally smile when smiled and goo-goo’d at and when I know a meal is just inches away.

My parents aren’t sure quite what age I was when I first started recognizing their voices. According to Bibi, my dad’s voice became my preferred male voice around 2 weeks and my mother’s voice I recognized immediately, since I’d already been listening to it for the past 9 months. While this may be true, over the past week or two, it has really become apparent to my parents that I recognize them and their voices. My parents haven’t documented an exact date, but at just a couple weeks old, I was already pretty good at holding my own head up. I owe my strong neck to tummy time both on my play mat and human mattresses (my favorite resting place). Tony and Leo often join me on the floor to provide encouragement. |
AUTHORWhen I first started posting, I was a highly intelligent and exceptionally cute infant and the milestones were coming fast and furious.. These days, I'm a precocious nearly 5-year-old and my babybook blog has been retired to serve as a window to my early years.. Archives
